Please list any other information that you think might be helpful to improving Times Tales Teachers Edition I wish that you had more tales for some of the other facts. They are really grasping this. Plus I tutor and I have a special education student who would not learn his facts but with this he is learning them. |
| 4. Approximately how much time did you spend, starting with presenting the stories to the students taking the test challenge? 3 consecutive days. The first day was about 50 min., day 2 was about 40 min., and day 3 was about 30 min. 5. Was the Instruction Manual easy to follow? If not, what part was confusing to you? Yes. The directions were very clear. 6. Did you incorporate any of your own teaching methods other than what was in the instruction manual? (I.e.; acting out stories, coloring memory story pictures, etc.) I used this program for three consecutive days. On the final day I had the students write in the air with their fingers repeating what the actual numbers for the stories meant after a student retold the story using the character names looking at the story cards that didn't have the stories written on them. |

| I was amazed at how well "Times Tales" worked. I used it with students in 2nd 4th and 6th grades. The 4th and 6th graders had learned the tables in previous years but were struggling with their retention. The 2nd graders had looked at the 6's table one day and hadn't seen the rest of the facts covered. At the end of the teaching session I gave all of the students a test. The younger children actually finished the test before the 4th and 6th graders. I could hardly believe it.
I am going to take this system over to a tutoring program for inner city children and see how many of them can be helped with it. I can't wait to see the results. Cindy Evans Good News Academy |
